Freedom
March 18th, 2008 | by Debra Oakland |Here I go thinking again! I ask questions, so bear with me. What if we let go of everything that tires us? Everything that wants to spoil the dream. Let go of all the times we have allowed ourselves to be a victim or tyrant (use any word - pain in the butt could work), so that we are emptied. This could allow some great energy to flow through without any interruption. Think about it and get back to me. Have fun storming the castle.

Brings to mind this passage from “As A Man Thinketh” by James Allen, which I read frequently.
…The world is your kaleidoscope, and the varying combinations of colors which at every succeeding moment it presents to you are the exquisitely adjusted pictures of your ever-moving thoughts.
You will be what you will to be;
Let failure find its false content
In that poor word, “environment,”
But spirit scorns it, and is free.
It masters time, it conquers space;
It cows that boastful trickster, Chance,
And bids the tyrant Circumstance
Uncrown, and fill a servant’s place.
The human Will, that force unseen,
The offspring of a deathless Soul,
Can hew a way to any goal,
Though walls of granite intervene.
Be not impatient in delay,
But wait as one who understands;
When spirit rises and commands,
The gods are ready to obey.

Debra,
This is as amazing a site, as you are a daughter. I can vouch for the courage you have displayed in your life. You showed such courage in supporting me in the passing of your 2 brothers, the passing of your son Wade and baby girl. I will be forever grateful to you and Cody for all the love and support I receive from you to this day. You would be the daughter any mother would be proud to call daughter.
I have seen you make such a great difference in so many lives.The Love and Light that shines from you has helped change the world around you. May this site bring light to all who enter it, I know that it will. May it be the avenue that assists others in seeing the light within themselves. I know that my light shines brighter because of you.
I am so proud of you.
Your Mom

What does courage mean to me? It means that I can face the ultimate fear of living alone for the first time in my life, making decisions that will impact my life for years to come, sleeping alone, (and in the dark, by myself), eating a meal in a resturant, alone. I’ve faced these “fires”, and have come out on top of the mountain. To others, these fears may not seem too scary, but to some of us, at the time we’re facing them, they seem so large,and terrifying, we’re almost frozen in place. But the courage is there. I’ve stepped off that edge, and I have soared!!!!
Thank you Deb & Cody
Love, Marie

Marie,
We are so proud of you and love to watch you soar to the top of the mountain. Each mountain you soar to be a much easier flight when you carry courage with you, never being afraid to step off the edge.
We love you
