John Lennon holds a very special place in my heart, as do the Beatles. They were such a constant in my life growing up. This song is one of the greatest songs ever written and speaks to us now, more than ever. I love David Archuleta’s version sang on American Idol, and want to share it with you.

As I lay in the sun today contemplating my navel and trying to be very attentive to the present moment, a thought occurred to me. People always say “just be yourself” to other people. Who are we and do we know who we are in the mix of all the influences throughout our life to date. Most of us assume a posture or a presence in various situations with people, as they each have different expectations of who we are or should be according to how they see us through their eyes. Do you know who you are? This is a question that makes you go hmmmmmm very interesting. What if we all quit labeling ourselves and others………..just imagine……..hmmmmmmm. I like it.
