Human beings get away with telling each other a lot of nonsense, with reporting a lot of half truths, which will get people into a lot more trouble than no truths.

Experiencing new things gets you excited and continually doing so gives you a thrill every time, bringing the motivation with it to be a success at everything you try. It does not need to be a huge accomplishment, there are plenty of things as simple as learning to play a musical instrument, trying a new restaurant, anything that generates good feelings deep down inside of you will do.
Combined with the other 6 steps to successful motivation, trying out new things will sharpen your senses, increase your knowledge and desires. As you become successful at doing this on a regular basis, you will motivate yourself to experience the great feelings you gift yourself on a continual basis.
Personally I use hypnotic images to stimulate and motivate me to get on out there and do new things. Hey, I might not be able to buy a brand new sports car but there is nothing stopping me going to the car showrooms and taking a test drive. That way I am living the experience, I am feeling what the car feels like, I smell that new car smell, I feel what it’s like to run my hand over its sleek curves.
So get out there and experience something new as often as you can, feel what its like to taste, feel and smell what its like, soak up the emotions that come with the experience and your motivation will soar to new heights.

Motivation is the emotion that drives you to gain success and reach your goals, motivation alone will get there – eventually.
To speed up the process you also need to believe in yourself. if you don’t believe that you can accomplish the tasks that you set for yourself in the previous steps, or don’t believe that you will reach your goals and become successful, you won’t, it’s as simple as that!
Motivation and belief go hand in hand, so sit back and think of all the times you have been successful, times when you have reached goals in the past. These things need not be the same goals that you have set for yourself now, or even be related to them. The important thing is that they are times when you were successful. In other words, times when you were motivated and had belief in yourself.
Someone once said that success breeds success, and I truly believe that to be correct, Others say that money goes to those who already have money. I believe that it is the success that those people bring to themselves that is what makes them more money, not the money itself. I believe the success that they bring to themselves doesn’t come automatically, they still have to be motivated and have belief in themselves and what they are doing.
Simply start believing in yourself. Remember times when you have been motivated and had success in the past and you will be telling yourself that you are capable doing it again and again – that’s self belief.

At 13 Sean Swarner was diagnosed with advanced stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of cancer. After grueling chemo and radiation treatments, he went into remission. By the time he was 15, Sean was diagnosed with Askins Carcinoma. There was a tumor the size of a golf ball on his right lung. This kind of cancer has a 6% survival rate. Sean was the only person in the world ever diagnosed with both types of cancer.
Sean was given 14 days to live. Day 15, 16 and 17 came and he survived, but the treatments were so harsh that he was put in a medical induced coma for 1 year. The doctors were afraid the treatments would kill him before the cancer could. Again he survived and went on to do things that require great courage, like climbing Mt. Everest. For more information visit Sean’s website.

I asked my incredible, amazing friend Nicole McKinney what the word Courage meant to her and this was her answer. I love the clarity Nicole brings to this in her life. I see that the Courage Nicole calls forth daily is bringing all her heart’s desires to her doorstep.
Here is what courage means to me. The grace and peace of believing that abundance and wealth resides with me, no matter what the struggles are. For myself the limiting belief of lack of deserving, lack of money, lack of success, lack of romantic love has always been the dominant sub conscious theme that dominated my other beliefs and put that forth into the universe over and over and over again. Hence, that was what was always presented to me. My courage now… is being open and honest to admit that truth and to that say that I accept myself, I love myself and I forgive who I am. Now I take my courage and my power and say that I am the wealthiest person on planet earth. I have so much love and support from my family and friends, I have a beautiful spiritual cat who gives me love in ways that are unexplainable in words but explode though feelings that look like rainbows. I now believe that the being that I am and the abundance of my being is infinite. To know that I am eliminating the belief of lack, replacing it with the never ending abundance that I have right now, as I write this note is the most important gift of courage that I can give myself. With that……… a gratitude dance is in order!

I have decided to add a permanent category to my website called “COURAGE - what does this word mean to you”. I will post the comments I receive from people I meet out in the world or any comments you send here to the website. I will post your name and quote on what courage means to you. I know courage means something different to everyone and anticipate the answers to this question. The other night my husband Cody and I were at Sorrento Bar and Grill in Laguna Beach. I asked a couple people who work there what courage meant to them. Here are their responses:
Steven Collins ~ Courage means being in the moment or showing up for the moment.
Nick Siracusa (Mixologist Extrordinaire) ~ Being bold enough to decide what, when, where and who you spend your time with at all costs.
